Dan Sigl 
October 26, 1923 - February 10, 2014

Dan Sigl, age 90, of Guthrie, was born on October 26, 1923 in Lynn Township to Michael C. and Matilda (Kline) Sigl and passed away on Monday, February 10, 2014 at his home in Guthrie.

Dan served in the United States Army during World War II. He married Irene Wilczek on November 26, 1947 in Loyal, Oklahoma. Dan retired from Safeway after 23 years as a truck driver and was a member of the Teamsters.

He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Dan was also a member of the Good Sam's and enjoyed traveling. He also enjoyed woodworking and working in his work shop.

Dan is survived by his wife Irene of the home in Guthrie, his 5 children, Linda Scannell and husband Tony of Meridian, Debbie Hurley and husband Ted of Guthrie, Karen Wright and husband J.R. of Crescent, Daniel Joseph Sigl and wife Nancy of Guthrie and Paula Brittian and husband Larry of Guthrie. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, 2 sisters and 1 great grandchild.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, February 14, 2014, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Charles Murphy officiating. Interment will follow at Summit View Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.

A Prayer Service will be held at 6:00 PM Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM.
