Francine Sue "Susie Hopkins Cooper

Francine Sue "Susie" Hopkins Cooper, 58, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2007. She was born September 24, 1948, in Guthrie, OK to C.F. "Hoppy" and Doris Hopkins.

Soon after graduation from Guthrie High School, she met the love of her life, Ronald V. Cooper. They were married November 4, 1972, in Edmond, OK.

They made their home in Garber, OK for over 30 years in the home that Ron built. Susie’s many friends were the joy of her life. Her laughter and smile will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Hoppy Hopkins, grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. C.F. Hopkins Sr., and Mr. and Mrs. W.V. Holeman.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Ron; her daughter, Jennifer Cooper of Austin, TX; sister, Pam Stockard and husband Jim of Sapulpa, OK; mother, Doris Hopkins Staley and stepfather George Staley of Edmond; her aunts, Aunt Ethel Arterburn, Aunt Shirley Muzny and Uncle Bill and Gerald Holeman, and a host of other beloved family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April, 28, 2007, at Smith Memorial Chapel, 220 N. 1st St., Guthrie, with Rev. Joseph Myer of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Garber, officiating. Burial will follow in Summit View Cemetery under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
