Died: November 16, 2008

Funeral services for Helen Ruth Blaney, 91, of Guthrie, OK will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at Smith Memorial Chapel with Brother Don Riepe of Companion Hospice officiating. Interment will follow in Marshall Lions Cemetery-South in Marshall, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie

Helen was born on February 2, 1917 in Lacey, OK to Harry G. and Florence (Hart) Ward. She died Sunday, November 16, 2008 in Guthrie.

Helen married Robert E. Blaney, Sr. on November 7, 1935 in Marshall.

She is survived by two sons Robert E. Blaney, Jr. and wife Helen J. of Edmond, OK and Terry M. Blaney and wife Shirley of Magnolia, TX; three daughters Emma Jean McCurdy of Mulvane, KS, Barbara W. Hardt of Mesa, AZ, and Sheryl Martin and husband Robert of Jones, OK; two brothers Leon Ward and wife Velma of Grove, OK and Donald Ward and wife Erma of Washington; two sisters Carolyn Ward of Apache Junction, AZ and Margaret Crisci and husband Jim of Breckinridge, OK; twelve grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Helen is preceded in death by her parents, husband, one grandson Michael McCurdy, two brothers, and two sisters.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Companion Hospice, 1314 East Oklahoma Avenue, Guthrie, OK 73044.
