Funeral services for Roy Ham, 96, of Seward will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, January 26, 2001 at Smith Memorial Chapel in Guthrie. Burial will be in Seward Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Guthrie.
Roy was born July 12, 1904 to Charles and Dolly Ham on the farm his father homesteaded in the Harmony Community. He died in Guthrie, January 23, 2001.
He married Flora Wyatt in Crescent on February 25, 1923. They farmed his father's homestead until they bought a farm south of Seward in 1941. In 1948, they moved into Seward and he worked for Oklahoma Furniture Manufacturing Co. in Guthrie, until he retired in 1966. Roy was a devout Christian.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, four brothers, two sisters, one grandson, one great-grandson, one daughter-in-law, and one granddaughter-in-law.
He is survived by four sons: Herbert and wife, Vera, Carl and Charles of Guthrie, John and wife Noni of Edmond; 15 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; one cousin, Edna Postlic Reed; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
