Francis Eugene Ritter


Francis Eugene Gene Ritter, 78, of Perry Oklahoma, passed from this life on December 18, 2013 at Green Valley nursing Home. Services have been entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Perry. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 23, 2013 at 10:00am at Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ralph Yost, officiating. Public visitation will be Saturday, December 21 from 9:00am to 4:00pm and on Sunday, December 22 from 1:00pm to 8:00pm at Palmer Marler Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at Roselawn Cemetery in Mulhall, Oklahoma at 11:30 am.
Gene was born to John and Fern (Odell) Ritter on July 30, 1935 in Mulhall, Oklahoma. He married Fern Morris on October 1, 1960 in Mulhall, Oklahoma. He always had a deep sense of appreciation to Ed Malzahn for over thirty years of employment at the Charles Machine Works, Inc. (Ditch Witch). He spent his military service in Germany.
Gene is survived by his wife, Fern of the home; one daughter, Janet Hines and husband, Gary of Stillwater; one son, Steve Ritter and wife, Darla of Mulhall; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Fern (Odell) Ritter and one brother, Billy John Ritter.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial be made in his name to Companion Hospice, 1314 East Oklahoma, Guthrie, OK 73044
