Died: January 17, 2012

Funeral services for Charles William "Bill" Betchan, 69, of Hugo, OK will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 20, 2012 at First Southern Baptist Church, Guthrie, OK with Pastor David Nolen officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Mulhall, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.

Bill was born on May 28, 1942 in Mulhall to Charlie and Ruth Betchan. He passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2012 in Denison, TX.

Bill married Linda Johnson in May 1970 in Kansas. He had a welding business in Guthrie for 20 + years, then later owned and operated the Hard Time Club for 17 years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved his grandkids dearly.

He is survived by his wife Linda Betchan of the home; two sons Clinton W. Betchan and wife Donna of Guthrie and Coy Don Betchan and wife Kim of Guthrie; two daughters Jewel Waddell and husband Loren of Guthrie and Laveta Armstrong and husband Ronnie of Springfield, MO; one brother Bob Betchan and wife Jerrie of Mulhall; ten grandchildren Colin Betchan, Brice Betchan, Levi Betchan, Hunter Betchan, April Peairson, Shelby Waddell, Lauren Waddell, Donovan Adams, Delton Adams, and Brandon Adams; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents and one brother Frank Betchan.

Visitation will be Thursday, 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
