Margarett Helen Ficken
(April 13, 1924 - March 31, 2014)

Margarett Helen Ficken was born April 13, 1924 in Muldrow, Oklahoma to William and Beulah (Jackson) Holliday. She passed away March 31, 2014 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 89 years, 11 months, and 18 days.

Margarett was raised in Eastern Oklahoma – Western Arkansas moving several times with her family following the wheat crops. When she was 17 the family moved to California. At age 25 she moved back to Oklahoma and lived several places before moving to Crescent in 1960. She married Wayman Ficken on November 18, 1968 in Perry, Oklahoma. Margarett was a member of the First Baptist Church in Edmond. She enjoyed sewing, fishing, and reading the Bible. She read the complete Bible, cover to cover, every year.

Survivors include her husband, Wayman of the home; one daughter, Linda Morris of Crescent; two sisters, Virginia Braugn and Aliene Roberts both of Ft. Smith, AR; four grandchildren, Chad, Clay, Clint, and Carla Morris; two great grandchildren, Chase Morris and Coty Clarke; one great great grandchild, Carson Clarke. She is preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Jack, Allen, and Fred Holliday.

Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, April 4, 2014 at the Oakview Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Abernathy Aaron Funeral Home in Crescent.
