Rita Sue Rudd
(September 15, 1941 - April 23, 2013)


Rita Sue Rudd was born September 15, 1941 in Blackwell, Oklahoma to Charles and Wilma (Davis) Albert. She entered into Heaven on April 23, 2013 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 71 years.

Rita worked as a Dietary Manager for several Nursing Homes across the state. On November 6, 1970 she married Ernest Ewell Rudd. Rita also volunteered at the Territorial Museum in Guthrie. She was a member of the Oak Valley Baptist Church and loved to cook for the kids at Falls Creek. She enjoyed gardening, reading books, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband Ewell of Crescent; three sons, George Rudd and wife Becky of Crescent, John Rudd and wife Brandy of Crescent, and Neil Rudd of Guthrie; two daughters, Elizabeth Burk and husband Paul of Brewster, NE and Christina Caldwell and husband Josh of Yukon; one sister, Diane Haskins of Blackwell; twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and by one son, Charles Spencer Rudd.

Memorial services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Oak Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Channel officiating. Services are under the direction of Abernathy Aaron Funeral Home in Crescent.
