Funeral services for Joseph Allen Rodgers, "Karaoke Joe," 41, of Guthrie, Okla., will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 20, 1999 at Guthrie Christian Church with Pastor Gene Warfel officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Knowles Cemetery in Crescent, Okla. under the direction of Smith Funeral Home in Guthrie. Joseph was born April 29, 1958 in Ft. Worth, Texas to Sylvester and Bertha Rodgers.
He passed away Wednesday, Dec. 15, 1999 at Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City.
He was a carpenter and Karaoke operator. He is survived by his wife, Kathy, of the home. They were married March 12, 1988.
He is also survived by two sons, Jeremy Rodgers, of Boron, Calif., and Tommy Rodgers of Raymond, Wash.; one daughter, Toni Diane Rodgers, of Boron, Calif.; one step-daughter, Rebecca Spehn, of Las Vegas, Nev.; and one step-son, Ricky Stone, of Guthrie; five brothers and six sisters, Joe and Margaret Shipley, of Crowder, Okla., Carl and Sonyetta Rodgers of Bakersfield, Calif., Joyce Crawford, Viola Rodgers, James and Sandy Rodgers, all of Chickasha, Okla., Sharon Rodgers and Don Grotney, of Des Moines, Iowa, Opal Rodgers and Tracy Fulkerson, of Guthrie, Ida Rodgers and Donnie Wally, Glen Clay and Virgil Rodgers, of Guthrie, and Alan Rodgers of Oklahoma City.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester and Bertha Rodgers, and one brother, Roy James Rodgers.
Friends may call at Smith Funeral Home from 1-8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 19, 1999.
