Bill Filmore, 77, of Crescent, Okla. passed away Saturday morning, Jan. 14. Funeral preparations are now being made at Abernathy Funeral Home in Crescent. Date and time pending.

Funeral services for Billy Clark "Bill" Filmore, 77, of Crescent, OK were Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, Crescent, with Rev. Bryan Haynes officiating. Interment was at Oakland-Knowles Cemetery under the direction of Abernathy-Aaron Funeral Home, Crescent.
Bill was born December 29, 1928 in Kingfisher County, OK to Hallie and Margaret Susan (Kuver) Fillmore. He died January 14, 2006 in Guthrie.
Bill as a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the U. S. Army. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, also a Deacon and member of the Church Choir. He helped build the New First Baptist Church in Crescent as well as the Frontier County Historical Museum in Crescent. He was also the former City Clerk of Crescent.
He is survived by two sisters, Shirley Tackett of Arboles, CO and Helen McNeil of Guthrie; two nieces, Sharon Wehr of Guthrie and Janel Armstrong of Perry, OK, two nephews, Rodney Wiss of Mulhall, OK and Jeremy Lorenz of Okla. City; numerous great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by a sister, Carol Ahlden.
Memorials can be made to: First Baptist Church, Frontier County Historical Museum or the American Cancer Society.
