Robert Eugene Ferguson
(July 30, 1925 - March 16, 2009)

Robert Eugene Ferguson, 83, of Crescent died March 16, 2009 at the Crescent Care Center. He was born July 30, 1925 to William Henry and Lucille Kathryn (Adams) Ferguson in Crescent, Ok.

Robert married Gayle Pitts in 1949 then married Lillian Thornhill in 1970. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1944 and served two years during WWII. Robert also attended Tulane University in New Orleans, La. He had a strong love for the land and farmed his whole life. He also enjoyed music and singing.

Robert is survived by his son Robert W. Ferguson of Tulsa, a daughter Susan Kelley and husband Robert of Loveland, Co., and two grandchildren Chris Kelley and Katie Kelley. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Stanley Blaine Ferguson and a sister Wilma Githens.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 18, 2009 graveside at Oakland - Knowles Cemetery in Crescent.
