Rebecca Joy (McClure) Doiron
(January 5, 1948 - July 25, 2011)

Rebecca Joy (McClure) Doiron, 63, was born at 123 N. Pecan in Crescent, OK on January 5, 1948, and died on July 25, 2011 at Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City. Joy graduated from Crescent High School in 1966. She married Eddie Doiron of Skowhegan, ME, in June 1968, and they lived in Crescent, OK; Greeley, CO; Cheyenne, WY; and Skowhegan, ME. Joy was a accomplished painter, and she and Eddie founded and ran “Joyful Creations” for many years. They exhibited their arts and crafts at fairs and festivals across the U.S. Joy moved back to Crescent in 2003 after the death of her beloved Eddie, and she was a caretaker for the elderly until the time of her death. Joy was a warn, wonderful, and loving woman whose name fit her personality, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Joy Doiron was preceded in death by her parents, J.G. (Mac) and Reba McClure, and her husband of over 30 years, Eddie Doiron. She is survived by a brother, Gordon (Butch) McClure and his wife Virginia, of Crescent; sister, Bette Leo McClure of Crescent; and a host of family and friends, all of whom loved her dearly.

Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Thursday, July 28, 2011 graveside at the Oakland-Knowles Cemetery with Rev. Mark LeMarr and Rev. Gordon Ingle officiating. Services are under the direction of Abernathy Aaron Funeral Home in Crescent. Family and friends may sign the online guest book at www.abernathyaaron.com.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Mac McClure Scholarship Fund, care of Christy Jennings, Crescent Public Schools.
