Services are pending with Abernathy Funeral Home in Crescent for J. D. "Don" Crook, 78, of Crescent. Crook was born October 28, 1924. He died May 29, 2003 in Guthrie.

Funeral services for J. D. "Don" Crook, 78, of Crescent will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 2, 2003 at the Crescent Assembly of God Church with Pastor Mark LeMarr officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland-Knowles Cemetery under the direction of Abernathy Funeral Home in Crescent.
Crook was born Oct. 28, 1924 in Okemah to Mitchell and Beatrice (Joslen) Crook. He died May 28, 2003 in Guthrie.
He was a member of the Crescent Assembly of God Church and the Crescent American Legion Post No. 200. He was a veteran of World War II, having served as a sergeant in the U. S. Marines.
He married Madean Tharp on Sept. 15, 1952. She survives him.
