Larry Don Cook
(April 15, 1955 - September 7, 2008)

Larry Don Cook passed away September 7, 2008 in Guthrie, Oklahoma at the age of 53 years, 4 months and 23 days. He was born April 15, 1955 in Crescent, Oklahoma to Elijah Francis “Buster” and Maudie Lea (Wolf) Cook.

Larry worked many years as a driller in the oil field and was a true outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing, his horse, Morgan and spending time outside. He loved simple things in life such as instant ice tea, eating, spending time with family, flip flops, cut-offs and cowboy boots. His son Dalton was his pride and joy of his life. He looked forward to meeting his new grandson due in October.

Survivors include, one son, Dalton of Guthrie, OK; mother, Maudie Cook of Crescent; two sisters, Dianne Smith of Guthrie and Anita Whorton; two brothers, Harold Cook of Crescent and Chester Cook of Guthrie; life long companion, Jan Cook – Hernandez; many many nieces and nephews and even more great nieces and nephews; two very special children he thought of as his own, Melissa and Charles Fesler.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 11, 2008 graveside at Oakland - Knowles Cemetery in Crescent. Services are under the direction of Abernathy Aaron Funeral Home in Crescent. Family and friends may sign the online guest book at abernathyaaron.com.
