Daryl Gene Hoel

Born: February 10, 1964
Died: November 15, 2012

Daryl Gene Hoel, 48, lost his battle to cancer on November 15, 2012. He was born February 10, 1964 in Guthrie, OK to Lee and Florence Hoel.

Daryl lived in Edmond, OK from 1964 to 1988. He graduated from Edmond Memorial High School in 1982. His family moved to Guthrie in 1988. Daryl served as a volunteer firefighter for six years. He loved camping, hunting, working with wood, and most of all, spending time with his family. He touched many peoples’ lives and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Daryl is preceded in death by his parents Lee and Florence Hoel; brother-in-law Larry Clutter; two nephews Nathan Clutter and Lee Coker; and his grandparents.

Daryl is survived by his wife of 28 years Dianne; three children: two sons Brian Hoel and wife Kristina and Randy Hoel and daughter Teresa Hoel; one grandson Brayden Hoel; one brother Ricky Hoel and wife Debra; four sisters Deborah Clutter, Anita Canary and husband David, Gloria Coker and husband George, and Jackie Hooten all of Guthrie; 13 nieces and nephews; 24 great-nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 19, 2012 at Smith Memorial Chapel with Reverend John Lawson officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.

Visitation will be Sunday, 1:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
