Virginia Lea Huston
Born: November 27, 1926
Died: August 07, 2008

Virginia L. Huston, 81, of Perry, OK passed away Thursday, August 7, 2008 at Perry Memorial Hospital. She was born November 27, 1926 in Crescent, OK to W.H. and Eva Bashaw.

Virginia taught school during WW II. She married Martin E. Huston of Crescent in 1946 after he returned from Japan at the end of WW II. They moved to Guthrie, OK where Martin worked for National Life Insurance Company for years and Virginia worked as a nurse’s aide and homemaker. They retired to Orlando, OK in the mid 80’s, after spending eight years in Amarillo, TX. She was a member of Orlando First Christian Church where she taught Sunday school and played the piano. She was most proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Virginia is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Martin in 2005; one baby brother; and one sister, Margie Decker.

She is survived by one sister, Wilma Shore; one son, Randy Huston and wife Connie; one daughter, Karen Wright and husband Chris; two grandchildren, Scott Huston and Michael Huston; and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be held at11:00 a.m., Monday, August 11, 2008 at Crescent Cemetery, Crescent with Chaplain Gene Owen of Companion Hospice officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
