Danny Gregory was born August 29, 1934 in Drummond, Oklahoma to Nate and Eunice (Webb) Gregory. He passed away December 25, 2011 in Guthrie, Oklahoma at the age of 77 years, 3 months, and 26 days.

Dan resided in Crescent since elementary school and he graduated from Crescent High School in 1953 and then attended Central State University in Edmond. He joined the United States Air Force in 1953 where he served as an Airman 1st Class with the 1st Radio Relay Squadron. While stationed in Germany he met and married Anna Martha Dannhorn on January 11, 1955 at the Lutheran Church, Dannenfels, Pfals, Germany. Dan received an Honorable Discharge in 1957 with the National Defense Service Medal, The Good Conduct Medal, and The Army Occupation Metal. Upon leaving the armed forces Dan worked for the FAA Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City until his retirement. He then started his own business “Dan’s TV”. Dan loved his Lord and reading the Bible, and recently purchased a new one because the old one is held together with duck tape. He also enjoyed his grandchildren and all their activities, gardening, and fishing.

Survivors include his wife Martha of the home; two daughters, Janie Yowell of Edmond and Detra Scheele and husband Rob of Rockwall, TX; one brother, Max Gregory; one sister, Geneva Davis; five grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Ted Gregory, and a son-in-law, Brock Yowell.

Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Thursday, December 29, 2011 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Black officiating. Burial will follow in the Crescent Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Abernathy Aaron Funeral Home in Crescent. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial donations be made to the First Baptist Church in Crescent.
