Eugene P. Gale
(October 25, 1914 - January 16, 2008)

Eugene Pfrimmer Gale died January 16, 2008 in Crescent, Oklahoma at the age of 93 years, 2 months and 22 days. He was born October 25, 1914 in Crescent, Oklahoma to Nolan and Pearl (Pfrimmer) Gale. On December 7, 1944 he married Francis Bowen in Lawton, Oklahoma, she preceded him in death.

Gene was born and raised in Crescent and graduated from Crescent High School. He started his police career in Guthrie as a dispatcher and then moved to Lawton and became a police officer, where he retired as a Lieutenant. After retiring he started a junk car business and then started collecting old cars and farm equipment. Gene loved going to auctions and he never came home empty handed.

Survivors include, his nephew, Frank Defuentes and his wife Maria of Crescent; six nieces, Mary Ann Gale of Crescent, Sabrina Andersen of Crescent, Gale Dawn Defuentes, Sandy Price, Robin Pyle, Sheri and Shelly. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Francis and by two brothers, Glen and Chester Gale.

Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Monday, January 21, 2008 at the First Christian Church, with Jay Roney officiating, burial will follow in the Crescent Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Abernathy Aaron Funeral Home in Crescent. Condolences may be sent to the family at abernathyaaron.com.
