Iona Ethel Beyer
(July 29, 1913 - January 10, 2007)

Crescent resident Iona Beyer, 93, died January 10, 2007 at Sunset Estates Nursing Home in Tecumseh, Oklahoma. She was born July 29, 1913 in Omega, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker and a faithful wife to Arno Robert Beyer who she married in 1942 in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Arno preceded her in death on April 22, 2003. She loved her dogs and when she was younger enjoyed traveling and fishing.

She is also preceded in death by her sister, her parents, her only daughter, Joan Decker and a great grandson Tommy Edwards.

Survivors include her granddaughter Marlena Edwards and her husband Bobby, her grandson Jerry Loader, three grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

The Beyer family gave generous donations to the town of Crescent, enabling the town to grow and become a better community for their fellow neighbors.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.M. Friday, January 12, 2007 at Abernathy - Aaron Chapel with Rev. Bryan Haynes officiating, burial will follow at the Crescent Cemetery.
