Wilma L. Beasley
(October 19, 1920 - April 12, 2008)

Wilma Lois (Anthony) Beasley died April 12, 2008 in Golden Age Nursing Home in Guthrie at the age of 87 years, 5 months and 24 days. She was born October 19, 1920 near Aline, Oklahoma to Roy and Nora (Shepherd) Anthony.

Wilma graduated from Aline High School in 1938, then attended Droughon Business School in Oklahoma City. She married Max Beasley on April 4, 1942, he preceded her in death on August 11, 1992 after 52 years of marriage. She worked at Tinker Air Force Base as a riveter while he served in the Army in France and Germany. After the war they moved to Kansas, then to Arizona and then to Oklahoma. Wilma was a dedicated member of the First United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School and filled other positions that she was asked to do.

Survivors include two sons, Gary Beasley and wife Michelle of Oklahoma City and Steve Beasley and wife Sherry of Fitzhugh, Oklahoma; one brother, Bud Anthony and wife Cordelia of Aline, Oklahoma; one sister, Mildred Ring of Cleo Springs, Oklahoma; two half sisters, Judy Murphy and Jean Reasonover both of Texas; eleven grandchildren, many great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Max, a daughter Rhonda and one sister Winifred Parker.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church in Crescent with Rev. Roger Pitt and Rev. William Monden officiating. Burial will follow in the Crescent Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Abernathy Aaron Funeral Home in Crescent. Friends and family may sign the online guest book at abernathyaaron.com.
