KENNETH ROY "COTTON" O'BRIEN

February 27, 1950 - July 30, 2018

Kenneth Roy "Cotton" O'Brien, long-time Meeker, Oklahoma, resident was born February 27, 1950 in Prague, Oklahoma, and departed this life on July 30, 2018 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 68 years.

Cotton was the son of Edward O'Brien Jr. and Dorothy Christena (Lee) O'Brien. He worked as a Maintenance Mechanic for Artic Temp Walkin Coolers for many years. Cotton was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church in Meeker. He loved spending time with grandkids, working on cars in his shop, mowing, brush hogging, and going to the lake. Cotton will be greatly missed.

His father, Edward and one sister Pam, preceded Cotton in death.

Survivors include his mother, Dorothy O'Brien of Sparks, Oklahoma; one daughter, Kristal O'Brien, of Prague, Oklahoma; one son and daughter-in-law, Dustin and Jennie O'Brien of Perkins, Oklahoma; five grandsons, Gage, Nick, Devin, Seth, and Zach; one sister, Margaret; two brothers, Ed, and John; a special friend, Donita Cordonnier of Prague; other relatives and many friends.

A Wake will be held at 6:00 PM, Friday, August 3, 2018 at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Meeker, Oklahoma.

The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 4, 2018 at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Meeker, with Father Long officiating. Burial will follow at White Dove Cemetery in Sparks, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
