DONNA MAE JOHNSON

June 1, 1926 - October 1, 2017

Donna Mae (Shults) Johnson was born in Avondale, AZ on June 1, 1926 and departed this life in Shawnee, Oklahoma on October 1, 2017 at the age of 91 years.

She was the daughter of Barry Thomas and Vergie Bessie (Collins) Shults. She was a resident of Shawnee, Oklahoma. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Stroud and love to be with her children, and grandchildren. She also loved reading her Bible, gardening, cooking and sewing. She married Lloyd Franklin Johnson in Altus, Oklahoma on October 6th 1943. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Barry & Vergie Shults, one son, Roger Lee, two brothers, Charles and Bill G Shults.

Survivors include, one sister Alene Blemmel of Claremore, two daughters, Sherry Higgins & husband Gary of Shawnee, Vicki Porter & husband Barney of Ketchum, one son Johnny Johnson and wife Charie of Norman. Seven grandchildren, Garin Higgins & wife Heather of Emporia, KS, Stephanie Hallford of Hulbert, Brooke Edge of Stillwater, Lindsey Gillispie & husband Jay of Edmond, Courtney Johnson of Okarche, Jett Johnson of Oklahoma City, Thomas Johnson of Norman, 9 great grandchildren, one great great grandson. Numerous Nieces and nephews, other friends and relatives.

Funeral service will be held at the First Baptist Church in Stroud on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor James Bond officiating. Burial will follow in the White Dove Cemetery, Sparks under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.
