HALEY KATHERINE HOOVER

Haley Katherine Hoover went to be with the Lord on Thursday January 5th 2017 at the age of 89. She was born on a farm in Lincoln County on July 31st 1927 to Harley and Daisy Whitham. She and her family moved to Agra Oklahoma and then Stillwater Oklahoma where she finished the 8th grade.

Later in life she moved to California with her mother where she met and married her first husband Raymond Kirk and had one son Danny Kirk. They divorced and she later met and married Roy Ellington in Stillwater Oklahoma, they had three daughters Jane, Phyllis and Judy, they divorced after 24 years. In 1970 she met and married Ben Hoover, also at that time she was getting her ministry license, she pastored three churches in Blackwell where she lived the rest of her life.

In 1973 Haley and Ben Hoover adopted Rachel McIntyre. Haley attended House of Prayer church when she was able. Haley lived a long happy life, she had many family members which she enjoyed seeing and spending time with them.

She is survived by two daughters Sue Richardson and husband Dan of Leavenworth Kansas & Rachel Holt and husband Carl of Blackwell, four Sons Ben Hoover Jr and wife Cindy of Blackwell, Glen, Doug and Carl Hoover all of Leavenworth Kansas, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren , great-great grandchildren, nieces ,nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters, husbands Raymond Kirk, Roy Ellington and Ben Hoover daughter Sarah Jane day, Phyllis Ellington, Judy Avery and son-in-law Leo William Avery (Bill) and one son Danny Kirk.

Friends and family are invited to her graveside services at Tryon Oklahoma cemetery on Friday January 13th 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Services are under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service and Cremation Directors.
