Deanna June Owens Wright

February 14, 1946 - March 31, 2018

Deanna June Wright was born in Stroud, Oklahoma on February 14, 1946 and departed this life on March 31, 2018 at her home in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 72 years.

Deanna was the daughter of Arthur Owens Jr. and Glenda Clayton Rains. She was a resident of Tulsa since 2008 moving from Oklahoma City. Deanna had a wonderful 30+ year career teaching elementary school in Kansas City, Tulsa and Oklahoma City. Deanna was a member of Putnam City United Methodist Church in Oklahoma City. When she moved to Tulsa she was affiliated with Faith United Methodist Church in Tulsa. Deanna faithfully served many churches throughout Oklahoma as the wife of an Oklahoma United Methodist minister. Most of all she loved being with her grandchildren and family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Owens Jr.

Deanna is survived by one son, Chris Wright of Tulsa, her mother, Glenda Rains of Stroud, one brother, J.R. Owens and wife Kay of Eufaula, four grandchildren, Scarlett, Sam, Sully, Sofia, and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A celebration of life will be held for Deanna at the Stroud Cemetery on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Lance Keeling officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.
