James Hugh Fox a longtime Cushing resident, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2020 in Oklahoma City at the age of 60. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at Crossway Church, Cushing, Oklahoma. Pastor Mark Jackson will officiate. Interment will follow at Stroud Cemetery, Stroud, Oklahoma.

Visitation will be held on Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, OK.

Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma.

James was born on September 8, 1959 in Cushing, Oklahoma to Richard Doyle and Carolyn Elizabeth (Thompson) Fox. He grew up in Shamrock and attended school in Drumright where he graduated from Drumright High School in 1977. James began at age 12 to help his dad in the oilfield and continued in the oilfield business all of his life. He worked on a rig, pumper, roustabout and anything else that had to do with oilfield. James married Tracy Adkins on November 28, 2015 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. James loved tinkering in his garage, repairing lawn mowers and anything else that needed fixed. Once in a while, he would play golf or go fishing. He was a peace the most while riding on his tractor and baling hay. James was a family man, enjoyed being with all of his family. He was co-owner of Foxco Oil and Gas.

James is survived by his wife Tracy of the home, mother Carolyn Fox of Drumright, children Evonda Billedeau of Cushing, Beverly Fox of Tulsa, Joe Fox of Cushing, Russell Parks of DePew, Justin Fox and wife Tabatha of Mannford, Ryan Vier and Derek Coe of Stillwater, brothers Jerry Fox of Drumright, Larry Fox of Oilton, grandchildren Ashlynn Davis, Gunner Davis, Jonathan Billedeau, Christopher Billedeau, Ryker and Leah Vier, Beamer Vier, Maycee Hammock, Chelsea Danly, Tyler McMonigle, great grandchildren Evelyn Billedeau, Ella and Kohen Danley, Donnivan, Kennadee, Teighann and Aspen McMonigle.

He was preceded in death by his dad, his wife Judy Lynn Fox.
