Lorraine Cody of Stroud, Oklahoma, passed away on July 11, 2019, at the Stroud Health Care in Stroud, Oklahoma, at the age of 84 years.

Lorraine Cody was born on September 9, 1934, in Opelousas, Louisiana. She was the daughter of Frederick and Elmer (McGehee) Carroll. She grew up in De Ritter, Louisiana, attending De Ritter Public Schools. She married Burlen Cody on June 27, 1958, in De Ritter, Louisiana, making their home in Stroud, Oklahoma, shortly after marriage. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Stroud where she served on the Kitchen Committee. She loved her church and spending time with her family and church family. On October 16, 2015, Burlen preceded her in death and she continued to make Stroud her home.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; three sisters; and one brother.

She is survived by three sisters-in-law, Roxie Benjamin of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Veva Hoh of Rowlett, Texas, and Jonita Grubbs of Tulsa, Oklahoma; three brothers-in-law, Gary Cody of Stroud, Oklahoma, Rickey Cody of Stroud, and Danny Cody of Tulsa, Oklahoma; eight nieces, Janet Green, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Kathleen Williams of De Ritter, Louisiana, Jeanie Mayes of De Ritter, Louisiana, Carolyn Watts Watts of Rosepine, Louisiana, Kelly Thompson of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Vicki Cody of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Paula Rosson of Houston, Texas, and Tonia Cody of Hale, Texas; five nephews, Herman D. Hall of De Ritter, Louisiana, Donnie Cody of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Nathan Cody of Garland, Texas Randy Hoh of Rowlett, Texas Johnnie Cody of Kendrick, Oklahoma; and one special daughter, Casie Cody of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Family will greet friends at the Parks Brothers Funeral Service on Monday, July 15, 2019, from 6:00 pm till 8:00 pm.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at 10:00 a.m., at the First Baptist Church, with Rev. James Bond officiating. Family has elected to conclude the services at the church. Private burial will be in the Stroud Cemetery.
