RUTH ANN HICKS

18 May 1934 - 1 Apr 2018

Ruth Ann Hicks, life-long Chandler, Oklahoma resident was born May 18, 1934, in Chandler, and departed this life on April 1, 2018, in Stroud, Oklahoma, at the age of 83 years.

Ruth Ann was the daughter of Vernal and Ola (Key) Cochran. She graduated from Chandler High School in 1952. Ruth Ann married Robert Eugene (Gene) Hicks on December 24, 1952, in Chandler. She worked numerous jobs over the years, First National Bank of Chandler, Brown Oil Company, Chandler Baseball Camp, and KC's Express convenience store. Her hobbies included traveling, especially going on cruises, and she loved spending time with family and friends. Ruth Ann was a long-time Oklahoma State University fan.

Her parents, Vernal and Ola; husband, Gene; infant son, Gary Lynn; and sister Mary Frances preceded Ruth Ann in death.

Survivors include, one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Nancy Hicks of Chandler; one granddaughter Sarah Gross and husband Erik of Chandler, one great-granddaughter, Chloe Gross; one brother and sister-in-law, Sam and Dorothy Cochran of Hallettsville, Texas; other relatives and many friends

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 5, 2018, at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, in Chandler, with Rev. Doyle Seeley and Rev. Dewayne Settle officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
