Sylvia Cecelia Muzny

Prague resident Sylvia Cecelia Muzny died Sunday in Prague. She was 94.

Sylvia was born August 13, 1903, near Prague to Louis and Anna Marie {Pavliska} Duzi.

She married Albert Muzny in November 1922 in Prague.

Mrs. Muzny was one of the chief kolache makers for St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church and had appeared several times on television promoting the annual kolache festival.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Leroy and Joyce Muzny and Don and Billie Muzny, all of Prague; sister, Emma Sterkel, Oklahoma City; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband on August 21, 1963; her parents; three brothers and six sisters.

Funeral mass will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church with the Rev. Adrian Vorderlandwehr officiating.

Burial will follow in Catholic Cemetery, Prague, under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Prague.

A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel.
