Jessica Cauleen Turner, 47, resided in Edmond, OK. She passed into the arms of Jesus while at her home on April 24, 2018. She put up a brave fight against cancer, and she had the final word. She is now dancing in heaven.

Jessica was born on January 10, 1971 in Burlington, CO to Gary and Corrine (Mooney) Long. She moved to Oklahoma when she was 10 years old, and she graduated from Prague High School in 1989. Jessica attended college in Seminole, OK, and nursing school at Carl Albert State College. Jessica married Richard Turner on July 18, 1995. They were happily married for almost 23 years. He was the love of her life. Jessica was a national dispatcher for a communications company for the previous 15 years.

Jessica had an overwhelming impact on her family and her multitudes of friends. She loved Jesus and shared His love with her family and friends every chance she got. Her husband, Richard, and her family were of the utmost importance to her. She and her husband had no children, but they did have their beloved rescue dog, Buddy. He was Jessica’s baby. Jessica was also an extremely loving daughter, sister, and a treasured aunt. Her sisters were her best friends.

Jessica loved the OU Sooners, gardening, baking, and her most recent hobby: crocheting. Even though she’d just taken up crocheting, one would think she’d been doing it her entire life. Jessica and Richard enjoyed attending their church, Life Church, in Edmond, OK. They also had many friends with which they spent a good deal of time. Jessica had many close friends she played Bunco with each month. She adored these ladies and cherished her time with them. She was also still very close with many of her friends from high school in Prague. Other friends of hers were very near and dear to her heart.

Jessica’s sense of humor and her loving-kindness were memorable to all. Anyone who knew Jessica loved her. She wanted to share the message with everyone that God loves them, and that He cares. God’s love shined brightly through her. She also had the voice of an angel.

Jessica was preceded in death by her grandmother, Ramona Vineyard; her aunt, Pamela Sue Long; her great-grandparents, Addison and Inez Long; and her husband’s father, Gil Turner.

Jessica is survived by her spouse, Richard Turner; her parents, Gary and Corrine Long; her sisters, Camela Bailey, Lendy Heilaman, and Chelsea Neighbors; her brothers-in-law, Bill Bailey, Nate Heilaman, Sam Neighbors, Brad Turner, Brian Turner, and Brent Bell; her sister-in-law, Robin Turner; her nephews, Brayden Bailey, Logan Bailey, Jake Johnson, Hunter Neighbors, and Zachary Turner; her nieces, Lauren Heilaman, Lexi Heilaman, Lindsey Heilaman, and Molly Turner; her mother and father-in-law, Betty and Frank Howard; and her grandparents, Joe and Pauline Long. Jessica is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family will gather to greet friends and family for a viewing on Friday, April 27 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m at Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Prague, OK. Jessica’s funeral will be held at Calvary Way Church, Prague, OK, at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 30, 2018. Her interment will be at Prague Cemetery, Prague, OK.
