Richard L. Rice

Graveside services for Richard L. Rice will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February, 18, 2020 at Prague Cemetery in Prague, OK.

Richard passed away on February 14, 2020 at the age of 83 in Guthrie, OK. Richard was born in Leedey, OK to Floyd and Leona (Kauk) Rice on February 15, 1936. He grew up in the Rhea community and graduated from Leedey High School. Richard continued his education graduating from Oklahoma City University with a degree in engineering. Richard was employed at Boeing Aircraft, Western Electrical, and the navy until he retired in 1997. He married Loretta Sutterfield June 6, 1959 in Prague, OK. After retirement they moved back to Guthrie, OK. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Guthrie.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Delores and Mildred, and two brother-in-laws.

Richard is survived by his wife, Loretta, son Rick, daughter Connie and husband Kevin, three granddaughters Jessica, Shannon, Breana, great-grandson Kaden, all of Guthrie, two sister-in-laws, Maxine Lokey and Avis Jean VanZant both of Prague, and several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Visitation will be Monday, 2:00- 5:00 PM, with the family receiving friends from 2:00-4:00.
