LLOYD EARL BISHOP

5 Mar 1935 - 30 Mar 2017

March 5, 1935 – March 30, 2017 PRAGUE, Lloyd Earl Bishop was born in Payson, Oklahoma. His parents, George Leroy Bishop and Minta (Minnie) Ola Gentry, preceded him in death. His wife of 25 years, Janevieve (Stiffler) Bishop, one brother, Jack Bishop, two sisters, Betty Friend & Billie Bowen and one daughter, Jeri Sue Bishop also preceded Lloyd in death. He is survived by a daughter, Sabrina Hamric of Midwest City, two sons, Earl Lee Douglas of Oklahoma City, and Ronald Anthony Douglas of Nicoma Park, two sisters, Louise Flowers and Mildred White, and one brother Ray Bishop of Edmond. Grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and numerous other relatives also survive Lloyd.

Lloyd lived in Florida, Illinois, Kentucky and eventually returned to his roots in Prague where he met Janevieve Stiffler. He and Jenny had a painting company in Prague where they served many friends and made long lasting relationships. Lloyd had a strong work ethic and impeccable reputation for a job well done no matter what was asked of him or how big the task.

Lloyd was well known for his “green” thumb. He and Jenny loved to grow vegetables of all types just so they can give it away to bless family and friends. Lloyd always had the best manicured lawn around town and was truly proud to win the Prague “Yard of the Month” Award several times through the years. Lloyd had a great sense of humor and displayed it daily.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 10:00 AM, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Bro. Tim Emmons officiating.
