JOHN WILEY VANDEVER

John Wiley Vandever was born in Sulphur, OK on September 07, 1940 and departed this life in Oklahoma City on Monday, January 23, 2017 at the age of 76 years.

John was the son of JR and Modell (Summers) Vandever. He was a resident of Kendrick most of his life. John worked in a tire shop and drove a truck for many years and then owned and operated Dans BBQ & Catering service in Davenport and he also like to farm and ranch. He married Alice Florer on March 12, 1959. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Judy, and one sister.

Survivors include, wife Alice of the home, one son and daughter in law, Mike and Annita Vandever of Kendrick, one daughter and son in law, Penny and Jeff Foster of Kendrick, one brother, Howard Vandever of Arcadia, three sisters, Ramona Raffety of Stroud, Linda Matheson of Stroud, Sophia Walker of Davenport, eight grandchildren, Nikki, Lindsey, Ali, Stephen, Scott, Jason, Dusti and Johni, eleven great grandchildren, Kaled, Izabella, Abigial, Harli, Jude, Blaine, Halle, Bentleigh, Jacob, Jaxon and Rhett, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held at the First Baptist Church in Davenport, on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. with Rev. Mike Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at the Parkland Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.
