DIANNA LYNN GREENFIELD
1955 - 2008


Dianna Lynn Thompson Greenfield, a Ripley resident, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2008 in Cushing at the age of 53 years.
The daughter of the late Ralmon Thompson and Fredella Fisher Thompson, Dianna was born on October 8, 1955 in Oklahoma City.
She was raised and educated in the Stroud area, graduating from Stroud High School.
Dianna was united in marriage to Dean Greenfield on April 26, 1975 in Cushing, Oklahoma. The Greenfield’s lived for a short time in Cushing before moving to Ripley where Dianna worked for the Ripley School system as a cook, teacher’s aid and as a teacher.
She loved collecting hummingbirds and many people affectionately called her the “Humming Bird Lady.” She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Dianna spent many hours calling and sending birthday, sympathy, anniversary, and get well cards to her many friends and family. There was hardly a day that went by that she wasn’t thinking of someone else.
Dianna is survived by one daughter, Heather Combs and her husband Delvin of Cushing; two sons, Shandon Greenfield and his wife Lena of Cushing; and Teigun Greenfield of Ripley; one brother, Fred Thompson of Agra, Oklahoma; one sister, Brenda Kay Solomon of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, MaKaytlin Greenfield, Shelton Greenfield, Drake Combs and Kyla Combs; and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Dianna was preceded in death by her husband, Dean Greenfield.
Funeral services have been entrusted to the Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing and will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 4, 2008 in the Church of the Firstborn in Cushing with burial to follow in the Parkland Cemetery, Parkland, Oklahoma.
