Floyd Melson

Services will be announced by Curry Funeral Home for Floyd Melson, 66, who was found hanged early Thursday at his son's farm home.

Melson, a native of Iowa, was a member of a pioneer Lincoln county family. He came here with his parents while a child. He lived in Chandler. Sheriff Abbie Moore, after a inquest, declared the death a suicide.

He was a member of the Assembly of God church.

Melson is survived by two daughters, Sister Martha, of St. Ann's home, Oklahoma City; Mrs. Dansell Fordis, of Texas; eight sons, Mark, Richard, Chandler and Junior, all of Chandler; Lloyd, Kansas; Rev. William, of Tennessee; John, of Kansas and F. D. of Kendrick.
