Stephen Morris Schlosser

October 26, 1949 ~ October 24, 2022

In Brighton, Colorado on October 24, 2022. Aged 72 years. Steve was born in Hanford, California on October 26, 1949 to Leonard John and Landon Lorraine (Opal) Schlosser.

He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Brenda. Beloved Father of Leonard Schlosser & Lorraine (Rainy) Schlosser from a previous marriage. Loving Step Father of Leslie (Mark) Shaw and Kris (Delia) Wilson. Devoted and loving Grandfather of Nathan Schlosser, Natalie, Noel, Hope SelahMay, Austin, Nathan Shaw, Kristopher Glen, Andruw and Hadley.

He was a loving brother to Landon (Marion, Deceased) and Ted Schlosser (Janie) of Lemoore, CA and the late Leonard Schlosser. Also survived by 2 nieces and 2 nephews and numerous cousins that were very close to him.

S

teve was raised in Lemoore, CA graduating from Lemoore High School in 1968 where he won awards for poll vaulting. He was a Sergeant in the United Stated Marine Corp. serving from 1970-1976. Steve worked underground construction and was a member of the IBEW Union. He was also a member of the American Legion and VFW.

Steve loved genealogy, art, watching old movies and loved putting together shadow boxes with military medals and honors for his Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather, as well as for himself. He created dried birdcage gourds with Native American art and several South Park characters. He also enjoyed coin collecting as well as history, finding arrow heads, pottery shards, rocks and old bottles found during his career of heavy equipment operating. Steve was also a specialty rescue diver and also enjoyed his pilot training.

Stephen and Brenda met in 1980 and dated for six years. Then in 1998 they reconnected and Steve married the love of his life on Valentine's Day February 14, 1999. They made their home in Brighton, Colorado where Steve truly enjoyed Brenda’s cooking as well as time in his man cave.

Friends and family are invited to attend funeral services on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel located at 1419 West Main Street, Prague, OK. Services will begin at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at the Oakdale Cemetery in Paden, OK.
