Wayne Miller

Wayne Miller, 71, lifelong resident of Chandler, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2023, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Wayne was born Sunday, November 4, 1951, in Chandler to Virgil and Ina (Palmer) Miller. He grew up in Chandler graduating from Chandler High School in 1970. Wayne was united in marriage to Terri Crouch on July 31, 1976, in Chandler. Together they had one daughter, Amy.

Wayne retired from National Standard after 30 years. He also worked for the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority and retired from there after 7 years.

Wayne and Terri raced horses for 25 years and he was a lifetime cattle rancher. He enjoyed drinking coffee at the coffee shop, hanging out at Brad’s with his friends, and going to the cow sales in Bristow and Perkins. Wayne loved his family very much, and spending time with them was very important. He will be greatly missed.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Ina Miller; a brother, William Miller; and two sisters, Mary Ellen Austin, and Kay Hamon.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 46 years, Terri Miller of Chandler; his daughter, Amy Dunn and her husband, Marcus of Coyle, Oklahoma; a granddaughter on the way, Magnolia Dean Dunn; four brothers, George Miller and his wife, Sharon of Wellston, Oklahoma, Delmer Miller and his wife Martha Sue, Doyle Miller and his wife Linda, and Charles Miller and his wife Mary Jo, all of Chandler; his mother-in-law, Willa Dean Crouch; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
