Junior Messer

Junior Messer, long-time Chandler, Oklahoma, resident was born July 3, 1950, in Avery, Oklahoma. He departed this life on September 29, 2021, in Oklahoma City at the age of 71 years.

Junior was the son of Raymond and Dorothy (Crail) Messer. He grew up in Kendrick, Oklahoma, and graduated from Davenport High School in 1968. Junior married Debra Jane Osburn on March 11, 1971, in Chandler. He recently retired from Acord Transportation after 25 years working as the parts manager. Junior enjoyed playing golf, riding motorcycles, wood working, watching sports and loved spending time with his family and attending his grandchildren’s numerous activities. He was a quiet and very generous man that made friends wherever he went. He will be greatly missed.

His parents, and one sister; Linda Kay Evans preceded Junior in death.

Survivors include his wife of fifty years, Debby Messer; two sons and daughter-in-law, Justin & Whitney Messer and Jeremy Messer; four grandchildren, Dylan, Jaden, Tallan and Natalie; two sisters and brothers-in-law, June & Donald Dingman and Pat & Ray Acord, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday October 1, 2021, at the First Baptist Church, Davenport, Oklahoma with Rev. Mike Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
