Kevin Sewayne Elias

Kevin DeWayne Elias, 63, passed away on May 2nd, 2022, at his home in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Kevin was born at Bristow Memorial Hospital, Bristow, Oklahoma, on February 22, 1959, to Tyrone James Elias and Norma Rose (Hurst) Elias. He was the middle son of 3 boys.

Kevin graduated from Chandler High School, Chandler, Oklahoma, in 1977. While attending Chandler High, he served as a youth leader at First Church of the Nazarene, Chandler. Immediately after graduating high school, Kevin moved to Tulsa, where he studied at Victory Bible Institute.

Throughout the years, Kevin worked in many capacities. He was a chef at Pippin’s Restaurant and Pie Pantry, and Foley’s Department Store, both located in Tulsa. Kevin spent most of his career managing Moody’s Jewelry, in Tulsa. He started at Moody’s in 1999 and worked there until his passing. Kevin also loved to travel to exotic locations, such as the Bahamas. Above all, he loved the Lord, and was involved at Victory Church, Tulsa, for several years.

Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Tyrone James Elias, his beloved grandmothers, Rosa Bean, and Geneve Elias; his grandfather, Jim Elias, owner and operator of Jamil’s Steakhouse, Tulsa, and his beloved Opal Rose, whom he loved dearly.

Survivors include his mother, Norma Allen; two brothers, Tyrone J. Elias and his wife, Natalie, and Berri McFarland; two uncles, Bernard Elias, and Michael Elias; his aunt, Karen Graham; several nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends.
