Ronald Phillip Brasel

Ronald Philip Brasel was born April 13th, 1934 in Harrison, Arkansas to E. P. and Daisy (Carlton) Brasel. He passed away August 17, 2021 in Oklahoma City at the age of 87.

Ronald grew up in Shawnee, where he graduated from Shawnee High School in 1952. Directly after graduating he joined the U.S. Navy, serving four years active duty and two years in the reserves. He married Phyllis Hinkle on Jan 17, 1959, and they raised two daughters together. Ronald was a member of the Friends church in Chandler. He was also a long-time member of the NRA, and enjoyed shooting guns, hunting, and fishing.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, E. P. and Daisy Brasel, as well as his daughter, Kimberly Jones. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Phyllis Brasel of the home; daughter Dayna Gibson and her husband Donnie of Yukon; two grandchildren, Tara Gibson and Trey Brasel; and one great-grandchild, Scarlet Gibson.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
