BOBBY WAYNE GARLAND

Bobby Wayne Garland was born on August 4, 1961, in Prague, and departed this life on Monday, December 5, 2016, in Paden, Oklahoma, at the age of 55.

Bobby, the son of John and Florene (Lakins) Garland, was a resident of Paden. He was a 1980 graduate of Latta High School where he played baseball as a centerfielder. Bobby retired from the State of Oklahoma. He was a member of Paden Community Bible Church. Bobby enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors. He traveled many miles with his best friend Lil Bit, his beloved Pomeranian, riding on the dash of his pickup (until he was pulled over and got a ticket) and riding on the four -wheeler together.

Bobby’s grandparents preceded him in death.

Survivors include his parents John and Florene Garland of Paden; daughter and son-in-law Susan and Mark Stone of Stratford; grandson Jacob Stone of Stratford; sister and brother-in-law Angelia and Gerald Britt of Stratford and many other family and friends.

The Garland family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at 2:00 PM, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Scott Schmidt officiating. Interment will follow at Oakdale Cemetery.
