ELSIE LOU GUINN

27 Jun 1932 - 12 Mar 2017

Elsie Lou Lomax Walden Guinn was born on June 27, 1932, in Prague, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Sunday, March 12, 2017, in Meeker Oklahoma, at the age of 84.

Elsie, the daughter of John and Emma Lou (Goade) Lomax, was a resident of Meeker. Elsie was a graduate of Prague High School. She married Cotton Walden on July 6th 1951, he preceded her in death on April 25, 1980, she later married Roy Lee Guinn. Elsie was a faithful member of the Meeker First Baptist Church. Elsie retired from Tinker Air Force Base, where she spent years doing secretarial work. She was active in the Meeker Chamber of Commerce, and the Meeker Historical Museum. She was very active in her church and she loved to cook; whether it was for the Teacher Appreciation dinner or the football team, Wednesday night dinners at church or children’s Falls Creek, or simply Sunday afternoon for her family, Elsie was happy to oblige.

Elsie's parents, first husband, three sisters and one brother, and a step-son, Frank Guinn preceded her in death.

Elsie is survived by: her husband, Roy Lee Guinn of the home; daughter, Beverly and Roy Farris of Meeker; step son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Sherry Guinn of Meeker; Step daughter, Jeanie Graves of Meeker; step daughter-in-law, Marguerite Guinn of Shawnee; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, James Roy and Marylene Lomax of Bixby; sister-in-law Donna Lomax of Shawnee and many other family and friends.
