Funeral services for Rev. William Edward Cagle, age 97, of Meeker, Oklahoma will begin at 1:00 PM Friday, October 12, 2018 at the Living Waters Tabernacle in Meeker with Rev. Greg Berry officiating. A graveside service will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Meeker.

Rev. William Edward Cagle was born to Lonnie Edward Cagle and Nannie Mae (Thornton) Cagle on August 15, 1921 in Roland, Oklahoma. He departed this life on October 8, 2018, in Meeker, Oklahoma. Rev. Cagle was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by many.

Rev. Cagle was a devoted servant of the Lord. At the age of 18, Rev. Cagle devoted his life to the ministry of the Pentecostal Church of God. He was an ordained reverend and his ministry took he and his family to five states and spanned seventy-four years. Rev. Cagle’s ministry not only included himself but also his loving wife and family. Their ministry was truly a family affair.

Rev. Cagle married his loving wife, Wanda Pauline (Creekmore) Cagle in 1939 in Checotah, Oklahoma and they were happily married for 54 years until her passing in 1991. The two of them built their lives around their ministry and raised four children together. Rev. Cagle was also a farmer by trade and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Rev. Cagle was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Wanda Cagle; one son, Gary Cagle; two brothers, Harold Cagle and Darrell Cagle and two sisters, Estelle Quinten and Pat Kirby.

Rev. Cagle is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Carol Cagle, of Garden Grove, California; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Carol Cagle, of White Hall, Arkansas; daughter, Betty Beard of Meeker; sister, Leore Hodges, of Shawnee; sister, Florence Cagle of Shawnee; special friend, Mary Cooper, of Holdenville and twenty-two grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Meeker.
