Donnie "Don" Ray Jamison

Donnie "Don" Ray Jamison passed away peacefully at his Esparto home, surrounded by loved ones, on Saturday, June 7, 2003. He was 50 years old, having been born in Stroud, Okla., on Aug. 23, 1952, to Freddie and Doris (Harrington) Jamison. Don had fought a courageous battle with cancer. He had been a Yolo County resident for the past 20 years.
Don was involved in the automotive business for the last 23 years of his life, and was the owner of Jamison Auto Center in Woodland. His family and friends remember him as an outstanding businessman who was community oriented, enjoyed people, greatly enjoyed his friends and was an avid golfer. He was a member of the Yolo Fliers Country Club where he played often and shared time with his friends. His friends and associates will miss him dearly.
His wife of 17 years, Brenda (Gnoss) Jamison and their five-year-old daughter, Julia Jamison, survive Don. Also surviving are his sons, Justin Jamison and wife Nicole of Vacaville, and Corey Jamison of Yuba City. Other survivors are grandsons Kyle and Dillon Crabtree of Vacaville, Mr. Jamison's mother, Doris Jamison of Oklahoma, his sister, Sherry Kornahrens and husband Bob of Reno, Nevada, and a brother, Roger Jamison and wife Guenda of Yuba City. His wife's family, Joe and Nancy Gnoss of Woodland, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.
A graveside committal service is scheduled for 11 a.m., Thursday, June 12, 2003, at Monument Hill Memorial Park, Woodland. Friend John Witham will be officiating. No visitation is scheduled prior to the service. Memorial contributions in memory of Mr. Jamison may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, 1401 Halyard Dr., W. Sacramento, Ca. 95691; or to Yolo County Hospice, P.O. Box 1014, Davis, Ca. 95617.
