ARLETHA JEAN REDD ZUKOWSKI
1948 - 2013

Arletha Jean Redd was born in Meeker, Oklahoma on December 26, 1948 to Walter and Eugenia Redd, where she grew up with her twin sister and a host of siblings.
She graduated from Meeker High School, moved to Chandler, Oklahoma and was married to Walter Roosevelt Roper Booker.
Three sons {Teddy, Oscar, and Roosevelt} were added to their union.
She later married Jerry Zukowski, who preceded her in death.
Arletha relocated to St. Charles, Missouri where she lived with her three dogs, Lucky, Bruiser and Bailey. In St. Charles, she continued her love of sewing and fashion while working as a seamstress to complete alterations, create chair covers and curtains, and make her own apparel.
Arletha fiercely loved and defended her children and her dogs. She was known for making appearances at her kids’ schools, on the football field, and in other locations, if necessary, to demonstrate both her physical and vocal presence in resolving situations that involved her boys. Also, she was known for requesting that people “cut the bull” and “shoot it to her straight.”
She loved hats and dresses as well as the color pink.
Arletha departed this life on July 3, 2013 in St. Charles, Missouri surrounded by the love and presence of her three sons.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Eugenia Redd; and her sisters, Jane Redd and Tonya Williams.
