ROY ERNEST YATES
1909 - 2001


Roy Ernest Yates, Chandler, died Friday, May 11, in Chandler. He was 91.
He was born October 31, 1909, in Missouri, the son of Alex Edward and Bessie Lee Mayfield Yates.
Yates was a mechanic in Chandler for many years.
His parents, two wives, Anna Frances Yates and Alice Ruth Yates, one son and one sister preceded him in death.
Surviving are his daughter, Donell Flanagan of Signal Mountain, Tennessee, son, Robert Yates of Florida, three brothers, three sisters, three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, as well as other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday at Oak Park Cemetery, Chandler, with the Rev. Lorenzo Jacobs and the Rev. Lee Lee Lewis officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service, Chandler.
