EVERETT JOE WRIGHT
1936 - 2013


Everett Joe Wright was born on February 5, 1936 in Avery, Oklahoma and departed this life in Stroud, Oklahoma on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at the age of 77 years.
Everett was the son of Elmer and Ruby Pickard Wright.
He lived most of his life around Cushing and Stroud, Oklahoma.
He served in the Oklahoma National Guard and was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Cushing, Oklahoma.
Everett worked as a welder for Kerr-McGee Oil Company for many years then owned Wright's Restaurant in Stroud and was head of the coffee table.
He married Marilyn Jackson on May 18, 1956 in Stroud.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn of the home, sons and daughter-in-law, Layne and Erma Wright of Cushing, Oklahoma, Rusty and Cindy Wright of Cushing, Oklahoma and Jackie and Paula Wright of Stroud, Oklahoma, daughter and son-in-law, Rencee and Rick Williams of Stroud, Oklahoma, one brother, Gene Wright of Cushing, Oklahoma, nine grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, other family members and many friends.
Services will be held at the Oak Grove Baptist near Cushing, Oklahoma on August, 20, 2013 at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will follow at the Stroud Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service.
