DAVID ANDREW WOOD
1968 - 2016


David Andrew Wood, 47, entered Heaven’s Gates August 22, 2016. He was born in Watsonville, California on September 8, 1968 to Merl and Ramona Cole Wood.
David grew up in Carney, Oklahoma; graduating from the Carney High School, class of 1986.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army and in the Oklahoma Army National Guard.
He attended Successful Word Church in Warwick.
David loved the outdoors, enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing the guitar, and writing novels. He had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with his family. David loved the Lord Jesus with all of his heart, and studied the Bible his entire life.
He is preceded in death by his parents, infant son, Corey Wood and brother, Joel Wood.
Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law, Dawna and Dale Daugherty of Carney; children, Joel Wood-Edwards, Justus Edwards both of Perkins, Kelsey Jones of Stillwater, Kasey Jones of Norfolk, Virginia; two grandchildren, Caleb Jones and Kaley Jones of Stillwater; along with many nieces; nephews; cousins; and friends.
A funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 26, 2016 at the Successful Word Church in Warwick with interment following in the Carney Cemetery.
Memorial donations can be made in David’s honor to Lehman Funeral Home to help the family offset expenses.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
