Randy Lynn Wilkinson was born in McKinleyville, California to Alfred Glen and Zeola Mae Hopper Wilkinson on April 22, 1956.
He passed from this life on August 14, 2016, at the age of 60 years, 3 months and 24 days.
As a child, he moved many times, several states, from California to Arizona to Oklahoma, then to Colorado, Kansas, and Arkansas. He started school in Denver, Colorado, and attended school in Wichita before high school in Heber Springs, Arkansas.
He was baptized into the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn when he was 16. In 1974, just after graduation, his friend, Brother Loyd Hays offered him a job roofing in Oklahoma City. He returned briefly to Heber for the death of his grandfather, Herman Wilkinson and went back to Oklahoma City.
Then on November 27, 1974 he met Pam Penry. There was a love at first sight story. After a very short three weeks of dating and engagement, they were married an December 23, 1974 at the Shields Church. Their union was blessed with tree children, daughter, Randi Dawn and sons, James Lee "Jimmy" and Christopher David.
Randy’s greatest enjoyment was flying. He took many trips to visit brethren, several laughed at him, stating even when he drove he was just flying low. He loved nothing more than to spend time with his many friends and once stated that his idea of Heaven was to be able to visit the hours away with friends.
Randy was preceded in death by his mother, Zeola, step-mother, Georgia, sister, Judy, daughter, Dawn and two granddaughters, Elizabeth and Emma.
Randy is survived by his wife, Pam Wilkinson, father, Glen Wilkinson, brother, Rick Wilkinson and wife Stephanie, sons, Jimmy Wilkinson and Chris Wilkinson and wife Kayla, son in-law, Rusty and wife Brandi and ten grandchildren, along with a host of brethren and friends.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing, Oklahoma.
