SHIRLEY MAE WHITT
1935 - 2012


Shirley Mae Cragar Whitt was born September 6, 1935 in Chickasha, Oklahoma and passed away June 12, 2012 in Chandler, Oklahoma.
She married Ed Whitt September 11, 1955 at Morning Star Baptist Church in Meeker, Oklahoma.
Shirley loved the Lord. She was a hairdresser for many years and always loved antiques and restoring them to their natural state. She had her own booth space in several locations over the years. She also spent many hours volunteering at the thrift store in Chandler.
She is preceded in death by her parents, J. P. Cragar and Allie Mae Doughty; and brother, Leroy Cragar.
She is survived by her husband Ed; one daughter, Shari Lynn and her husband Bradley E. Telleen, of Chandler, Oklahoma; son’s Rod Whitt and Dennis Merworth of Phoenix, Arizona; two granddaughters and their husbands, Asher and Dru Collie of Asheville, North Carolina; and Allie and Adam Bryan of Carmel, Indiana; she was blessed with four great grandchildren and had one more on the way; brother, Ted Cragar and wife Carol Anne of Laguna Nigel, California; sister, Linda Hathcock and her husband Gary of Perryville, Arkansas; and many other relatives and friends.
Services will be held at 11:00 p.m. Saturday June 16 at the Presbyterian Church in Davenport, Oklahoma.
Shirley’s wishes were to be cremated following the funeral.
Arrangements under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
Donations may be made in honor of Shirley to the Presbyterian Church, Chandler, Oklahoma.
