JACK JAMES WEBB
1930 - 2004


Shawnee resident Jack James Webb died Tuesday, November 30, in Shawnee at the age of 73.
Mr. Webb was born December 4, 1930, in Meeker to John and Martha Bingham Webb.
He was a 1949 graduate of Meeker High School.
On December 20, 1949, he married Betty M. Simek in Prague.
He served his country with the U.S. Air Force during World War II as a helicopter pilot. He retired in 1986 from Tinker Air Force Base, where he assisted in the design of the AWACS aircraft and many other projects.
He was a member of Emmanuel Temple of Praise in Shawnee.
His parents, two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of almost 55 years, Betty, of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene and Monty Lamb of Branson, Missouri; and Yalonda and David Loman of Shawnee; son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Dana Webb of Jenks; brothers and sister-in-law, Bernard Webb of Meeker; and Frank and Wanda Webb of Tecumseh; sisters, Twyla Kinnett of Meeker; and Edna Sears of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague until noon today and 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. today in Meeker.
Service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at Emmanuel Temple of Praise in Shawnee with the Rev. Monty Lamb officiating.
Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Meeker.
Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague is directing arrangements.
